Having started life in Surrey the organisers of the highly successful Undercover Festival are bringing it to Brighton. The festival will take place on September 9th and 10th at Brighton Racecourse.
As well as having highly acclaimed national bands playing there are going to be plenty of local Brighton bands on the bill. The man behind the festival,
Mick Moriarty, said “it’s part of the ethos of Undercover that we give a platform for local bands to play alongside established acts and give them the opportunity to reach larger audiences.”
The festival has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2013 and has acquired the reputation as being one of the friendliest festivals around with a marvelous family atmosphere.

“We like to think of our audience as the Undercover family,” says Mick, “Everyone thoroughly enjoys themselves and go home with smiles on their faces and some fantastic memories.”
Alongside the main stages you’ll find little quirks such as Buskers Corner which has become a great favourite and a cornerstone of the Undercover experience, and keep your eye out for Rat Boy who’s always lurking around.
It’s also a festival where the bands don’t remain aloof and mix with the crowds and show their support for the other artists, another part of the undercover experience.
“Expect a few surprises over the weekend,” says the man behind it all, “you’ll be guaranteed a great time and a new set of friends.”
